The purpose of the Exam

  • To determine the Turkish proficiency levels of international students who are enrolled in Turkish preparatory education and wish to be exempt from preparatory education, as well as non-enrolled students at our university.

Exam Duration

  • 150 minutes

Exam Content

  • The exam consists of a total of 4 sections.
  • Reading - Comprehension and Grammar
  • Writing
  • Listening
  • Speaking
  • The exams for Reading - Comprehension and Grammar, Writing, and Listening sections are conducted within a duration of 150 minutes.
  • The Speaking section is conducted separately, and students are individually invited to the speaking exam.

Exam Format

  • In-Person

Exam Fee

  • The exam is free for international students enrolled at our university. However, no certificate will be issued to students upon completion of the exam.
  • There is a fee for the exam for international students who are not registered to our university or who want to prove their language skills.

Levels and Grading Scale

  • Grades between 60 and 69 corresponds to the B2 level.
  • Grades 70 and above correspond to the C1 level.
  • Undergraduate students can be exempt from the exam by achieving a minimum B2 level, while graduate students can be exempt by achieving a C1 level.
  • International students enrolled in our university who are successful in the exam are not given certificates or documents.

Exam Date and Rules

  • It is held on the date and time written in the academic calendar.
  • International students who will take the exam must be in the exam hall 30 minutes before the exam starts.
  • It is mandatory to use a pencil in the exam.
  • It is forbidden to enter the exam with a mobile phone and go out during the exam.
  • It is mandatory to attend the exam with a passport or ID.
