ÇAKÜ Language Education Application and Research Center gave Turkish language training to Somali women police officers at the Çankırı Seyit Saraç Special Operations Police Training Center.
The Language Education Application and Research Center within the body of Çankırı Karatekin University provides services to our own students, foreign students and the people of Çankırı with English and Turkish courses at different levels.
Within the framework of the agreement between our Rectorate and the Çankırı Şehit Seyit Saraç Special Operations Police Training Center, a new one has been added to the services offered. In order to be able to teach Turkish language, 47 female police officers from Somalia who were trained at the Special Operations Police Training Center were taught Turkish during their training.
A certificate ceremony was held for Somali policewomen whose training was completed. Language Center Director Associate Professor Dr. Gürbüz Özdemir, Vice Director Instructor Duran Gökçe and Turkish instructors Canan Öztürk, Leyla Yıldırım, Şeyma Erdoğan and Police Training Center officials attended the ceremony.
Associate Professor Gürbüz Özdemir ,after briefly mentioning Turkey-Somali relations ,talked about the increasing importance of Turkish in parallel with Turkey`s strengthening image in the world. Finally, he recommended the trainees to strengthen this foundation, which was laid in a short time, in their own countries and to attend the Yunus Emre Institute in Somalia for this purpose.
Certificates were given to the trainees at the ceremony.
